The lack of an Interprofessional Agreement (IPA) prompted the Belgian government to formulate the Act of 12 April 2011. The new periods of notice apply to contracts of employment concluded from 1 January 2012.
EU Green Paper Corporate Governance (Green Paper - 21/04/2011)

The EU Green paper on corporate governance has been published.
The Green Paper addresses the following three subjects which are at the heart of good corporate governance: the board of directors, the shareholders and the application of the comply or explain approach.
Maximum wage standard of 0,3% for 2012 (Pro-Pay)

Because no Interprofessional Agreement (IPA) was reached, the government set the wage standard at 0.3% by Royal Decree. The application of the wage standard is decided in the first place in the joint committee. It is important for the employer to know what exactly is covered by the wage standard.
